The Transportation Analyst will implement the global transportation strategy
and support the manufacturing sites and DCs to optimize current processes and
costs of the inbound/outbound transportation for finished goods and raw
materials.
Responsibilities:
- Receives general instructions and work objectives with key priorities
and initiatives assigned by the Director of Global Transportation
- Implements freight cost saving projects, e.g., freight mode
optimization, shipments consolidation, freight audit & payment
- Supports transportation RFP and proposal analysis
- Negotiates freight rates, reviews, and manages global rate cards with
Transportation Service Providers (TSPs)
- Ensures TSPs deliver the services as committed, e.g., on-time, in-full
deliveries, cold chain requirements, invoice accuracy, SOP, and contract
management, QBR schedule, and monthly report setup
- Collects and analyzes transportation reports produced by TSPs to
identify and develop the cost-saving and service improvement opportunities
- Works with Trade Compliance and TSPs collaboratively to ensure a
seamless door-to-door delivery -
- Manages and implements contingency plans to minimize service disruption
and ensure business continuity
- Ensures all freight invoices are audited/coded and submitted to Accounts
Payable within payment terms that are set
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree with 10+ years of industry
experience
- 6+ years of global transportation experience is required
- Advanced analytical skills, advanced Excel user
- SAP experience
- Experience in transporting temperature-sensitive goods
